Hiya. This blog will be an outlet for all of the non-music business related issues of the day that I feel arrogant and ill-informed enough to comment on. Way to go Tom! I finally get to tell you how much I enjoy reading your blog. And what a surprise to see the guys at Powerline were following you too. I love your Fable blog and will continue reading it. I look forward to keeping up with your new one. Keep up the good work.
Thanks, Richard. I toyed with the thought of a separate blog for non-musical stuff for a long time, and I wanted the opportunity to have a comments section. I used to have comments available on CUITF, but too many JF fans started making demands/requests and that was not what I wanted. At least now I can delete a comment if I want and it won't reflect on my day gig...!
The Powerline guys (namely, Scott) have been acquaintances since the tour this summer. I am a regular reader of Powerline and when Scott used a JF song title to label a post, I responded. It turns out we are both pretty deep into music, music literature, criticism, etc. We've never met in person, but I hope to someday.
Your Lou Rawls piece was very well done.
Thank you for shining a light on a subject that certainly deserved the attention.
